This new SMART RAID System comes with quad interfaces -- 1394a, 1394b, USB 2.0, and eSATA. It is tailored and intelligent GUI, RAID Master which allows easy management of multiple RAID tasks. Multicolored LED indicators and a front panel LCD keeps users informed of the progress of each operation.
The 4-Bay SMART RAID System provides robust storage management functions under JBOD, RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), Span, Clone, RAID 5, and RAID 1 + 0; additional options include HotSpare and Automatic Rebuild under RAID 1+ HotSpare, Clone + HotSpare and RAID 5 + HotSpare. With the help of RAID Master, users can configure multiple RAID tasks, track all configuration events, as well as customize various storage activities. The 4-Bay SMART RAID System is very user-friendly, even for entry-level users: just by pressing a few buttons on the front panel, the users can set up basic RAID modes as well as monitor the system via LCM display without a host connection.
The SmartGuider* design makes HDDs installation, removal and insertion an absolute breeze, featuring effortless Hot-Plug and Hot-Swap supports. The unique auto-limiting segmented screws prevent HDDs damaged from over-tightening when the HDDs installed. The upright structure of vertical placement of HDDs within the aluminum case maximizes internal airflow for excellent heat dissipation; and the low-dB fan makes the product a pleasant company.
