TAIPEI (2007) – Technoyard, the renowned technology critique site recently reviewed the O' TOSTORE DataWhale RS-M2TS eSATA/USB 2.0 2-bay RAID System and found it to be a great catch. DataWhale systems combine simplified RAID management, flexible connectivity, hot swap support, and easy HDD access, bringing power features normally reserved for the pros, to the desktop via USB 2.0, IEEE 1394b,
and eSATA. |

Technoyard found the packaging, manual, and installation guide thoughtful and helpful in getting to know the DataWhale and its features. Also lauded were the advanced RAID storage management options, including Striping (RAID 0), Spanning, Mirroring (RAID 1) and JBOD (just a bunch of disks) and simple RAID management offered by the onboard RAID mode switch.
The reviewers found hard drive installation to be effortless, thanks to the convenient HDD quick release levers located on each drive bay. The DataWhale design was give kudos for usability, convenience, build quality, and ruggedness. |

| In RAID Mode performance tests the Technoyard crew found the DataWhale met or surpassed benchmarks in every tested RAID category. In Technoyard's four category quality assessment the DataWhale scored 98% in Performance and build quality, 96% in Value, and 97% in the Features category. Although Technoyard 'tried to look for any drawbacks' to the DataWhale they were unable to " find anything significant to mention ''. Further, Technoyard finds the value and performance of the DataWhale make it a viable alternative to vastly more expensive NAS systems. |
